Product Description
Precision CNC turning stainless steel parts for 5G device
According to the definition in GB/T20878-2007, stainless steel is mainly characterized by stainless steel and corrosion resistance, and the chromium content is at least 10.5%, and the carbon content is not more than 1.2%.
Stainless steel is the abbreviation of stainless and acid-resistant steel. The steel that is resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam, and water or has stainless steel is called stainless steel. The steel grade is called acid-resistant steel.
Due to the difference in chemical composition of the two, their corrosion resistance is different. Ordinary stainless steel is generally not resistant to chemical corrosion, while acid-resistant steel is generally stainless. The term "stainless steel" does not simply refer to one type of stainless steel, but to more than one hundred industrial stainless steels, each developed to perform well in its specific field of application. The key to success is to first understand the application and then determine the correct steel grade. There are usually only six steel grades associated with building construction applications. They all contain 17-22% chromium, and the better grades also contain nickel. The addition of molybdenum can further improve atmospheric corrosion, especially corrosion resistance to chloride-containing atmospheres.
Generally speaking, the hardness of stainless steel is higher than that of aluminum alloy, and the cost of stainless steel is higher than that of aluminum alloy.
Features of stainless steel: good corrosion resistance, high hardness.
Antibacterial stainless steel
Antibacterial stainless steel, as the name suggests, is stainless steel that has a killing effect on bacteria. The killing rate of antibacterial stainless steel to Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is above 99%, and it also has a significant killing effect on other bacteria such as Candida albicans, black fungus, etc., showing excellent broad-spectrum antibacterial properties and antibacterial durability. sex. The test of the National Institute for the Inspection of Drugs and Biological Products shows that the antibacterial stainless steel fully complies with the national technical standards in terms of toxicity and human safety. While endowing stainless steel with antibacterial properties, the mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, hot and cold processing, welding and other properties of the material are equivalent to those of the original stainless steel.
Precipitation hardening stainless steel
It has good formability and good weldability, and can be used as an ultra-high-strength material in the nuclear industry, aviation and aerospace industries.
According to the composition, it can be divided into Cr series (400 series), Cr-Ni series (300 series), Cr-Mn-Ni (200 series), heat-resistant chromium alloy steel (500 series) and precipitation hardening series (600 series).
200 Series: Chromium-Manganese-Nickel
201, 202, etc.: Substitute manganese for nickel, which has poor corrosion resistance and is widely used as a cheap substitute for 300 series in China
300 Series: Chromium-Nickel Austenitic Stainless Steels
301: Good ductility, used for molded products. It can also be hardened by mechanical processing. Good weldability. Wear resistance and fatigue strength are better than 304 stainless steel.
302: The corrosion resistance is the same as that of 304, and the strength is better due to the relatively high carbon content.
303: It is easier to cut than 304 by adding a small amount of sulfur and phosphorus.
304: Universal model; i.e. 18/8 stainless steel. Products such as: corrosion-resistant containers, tableware, furniture, railings, medical equipment. The standard composition is 18 % chromium plus 8 % nickel. It is a stainless steel that is non-magnetic and cannot be changed by heat treatment. The GB grade is 06Cr19Ni10.
304 L: Same characteristics as 304, but with low carbon, it is more corrosion-resistant and easy to be heat-treated, but has poor mechanical properties. It is suitable for welding and products that are not easy to be heat-treated.
304 N: The same characteristics as 304, it is a nitrogen-containing stainless steel, nitrogen is added to improve the strength of the steel.
309: Compared with 304, it has better temperature resistance, and the temperature resistance is as high as 980℃.
309 S: It has a lot of chromium and nickel, so it has good heat resistance and oxidation resistance. Products such as heat exchangers, boiler components, and jet engines.
310: Excellent high temperature oxidation resistance, the maximum operating temperature is 1200 ℃.
316: After 304, the second most widely used steel grade, mainly used in the food industry, watch accessories, pharmaceutical industry and surgical equipment, adding molybdenum to obtain a special structure that is resistant to corrosion. Because of its better resistance to chloride corrosion than 304, it is also used as "marine steel". SS316 is usually used in nuclear fuel recovery units. Grade 18/10 stainless steels generally also meet this application level.
316 L: Low carbon, so it is more resistant to corrosion and easy to heat treatment. Products such as chemical processing equipment, nuclear power generators, and refrigerant storage tanks.
321: Similar to 304, except that the risk of corrosion of material welds is reduced due to the addition of titanium.
347: Add stabilizing element niobium, suitable for welding aircraft parts and chemical equipment.
400 series: ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, manganese-free, to some extent replace 304 stainless steel
408: Good heat resistance, weak corrosion resistance, 11% Cr, 8% Ni.
409: The cheapest model (UK and US), usually used as a car exhaust pipe, is a ferritic stainless steel (chromium steel).
410: Martensitic (high-strength chromium steel), with good wear resistance and poor corrosion resistance.
416: The addition of sulfur improves the processing properties of the material.
420: "Cutting-grade" martensitic steel, the earliest stainless steel similar to Brinell's high-chromium steel. Also used in surgical knives, can do very bright.
430: Ferritic stainless steel, decorative, eg for car accessories. Good formability, but poor temperature and corrosion resistance.
440: High-strength cutting tool steel with slightly higher carbon content. After proper heat treatment, higher yield strength can be obtained, and the hardness can reach 58HRC, which is one of the hardest stainless steels. The most common application example is "razor blades". There are three commonly used models: 440A, 440B, 440C, and 440F (easy to process).
500 Series: Heat-resistant chromium alloy steel.
600 Series: Martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel.
Stainelss steel application field
There are many reasons why surface finishing of stainless steel is important in architectural applications. Corrosive environments require smooth surfaces because smooth surfaces are less prone to fouling. Dirt deposits can rust or even cause corrosion in stainless steel.
In spacious halls, stainless steel is the most commonly used material for elevator decorative panels. Although the fingerprints on the surface can be wiped off, it will affect the appearance. Therefore, it is best to choose a suitable surface to prevent fingerprints.
Hygienic conditions are important in many industries, such as food processing, catering, brewing, and chemical industries, where surfaces must be easy to clean on a daily basis, often with chemical cleaning agents.
Stainless steel is the best material for this. In public places, the surface of stainless steel is often scribbled. However, one of its important properties is that they can be washed away, which is a distinguishing feature of stainless steel over aluminum. The surface of aluminum tends to leave marks that are often difficult to remove. When cleaning the stainless steel surface, it should be cleaned along the lines of the stainless steel, because some surface processing lines are unidirectional.
Stainless steel is best used in hospitals or other areas where hygiene is critical, such as: food processing, catering, brewing and chemical industry, not only because it is easy to clean every day, sometimes with chemical cleaning agents, but also because it is less prone to bacteria growth . Tests have shown that the performance in this regard is the same as that of glass and ceramics.
